  1. Step 1

    Choose your gold

    Browse our gold bars, small bars, and investment gold coins. Each product page provides you with:

    • the product type and its specifications;
    • the weight and gold purity;
    • the applicable price, premium included;
    • the available stock and estimated delivery time.

  2. Step 2

    Create your account and verify your identity

    Regulations on precious metals require us to verify the identity of every buyer. Create your account and upload a photo of the front and back of your ID card: it takes one minute, and you only need to do it once.

    You can then place your order within 24 business hours.

  3. Step 3

    Place an order

    Add your products to the cart, then check your order details, enter your contact information and choose your delivery method: free collection at a Caraor branch or home delivery.

  4. Step 4

    Pay by bank transfer

    Payment is made exclusively by bank transfer. Payment details will be provided to you once your order is confirmed; our team will then begin processing it.

  5. Step 5

    Receive your gold

    For collection in branch, you will be notified by email as soon as your order is ready. For home delivery, it is shipped in a discreet, plain package and delivered against signature.

    Collect your gold in person at one of our five branches in Belgium. Your order leaves our vault for the branch you chose at checkout, and you will be notified by email as soon as it is ready for collection.

Returns and right of withdrawal

Caraor-shop exclusively sells investment gold: gold bars, small bars, and gold coins. Their value fluctuates with the gold market and financial markets; therefore, these products may be excluded from the right of withdrawal, in accordance with applicable regulations.

A confirmed order cannot, therefore, be returned or refunded, except in cases of mandatory legal provisions or errors attributable to Caraor-shop. Once confirmed in accordance with the applicable terms, it becomes final and irrevocable.

How is the price of gold determined?

Our rates follow the gold price, with a premium displayed transparently on each product page. The applicable price is the one displayed at the time of your order. Follow the performance of precious metals on our Gold price page.

Which payment methods do you accept?

Payment is made exclusively by bank transfer. Payment details will be provided to you once your order is confirmed.

Why do I need to verify my identity?

Precious metals regulations require us to verify the identity of every buyer. A photo of both the front and back of your ID card is sufficient; the verification only needs to be done once, and you can then place orders within 24 business hours.

Is investment gold subject to VAT?

No: in Belgium, investment gold is exempt from VAT.

Is collection in branch really free?

Yes. Choose one of our five branches when placing your order: you will be notified by email as soon as your gold is ready for collection. Please bring your confirmation email and your ID card. Our branches are open Monday to Friday from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm, and Saturday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.

How is my order delivered?

In a discreet, plain package delivered against signature, in 26 countries: Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, and other European Union countries. Costs depend on the country and the order amount and are indicated before confirmation; the estimated delivery time is displayed on each product page.

Can I cancel or return my order?

No. Investment gold may be excluded from the right of withdrawal because its value fluctuates with the markets: a confirmed order is final and binding, except in the case of mandatory legal provisions or an error attributable to Caraor-shop. Please check your order carefully before confirming it.

Will I be able to resell my gold to Caraor?

Yes: we buy back coins and bars purchased from us at any time.
